ODAC MEN'S LACROSSE ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Damian Becker, Virginia Wesleyan
Becker, a freshman from Lynbrook, New York, scored a career-high four goals to help lead VWC to a big 9-6 ODAC victory at Hampden-Sydney, the program’s first win ever on the Tigers’ field.  Becker scored one of VWC’s first three goals as the Marlins took a 3-0 lead and tallied again with only two seconds remaining before halftime to give the Marlins a 5-2 edge.  He tacked on two more goals in the fourth quarter as VWC opened up a 9-5 lead.  Becker has scored at least one goal in each of VWC’s last four games and is now the fourth-leading scorer with 11 goals and 16 points.  So far this season, Virginia Wesleyan has earned ODAC wins over both Roanoke and Hampden-Sydney, both of which were ranked in the top 20 in all of the major preseason polls.
